Degray Shoreline Cleanup
WHO: Anyone who cares about public lands! Scout groups, school and employee groups, fishing & scuba clubs, church groups, individuals and many more!
WHEN: SATURDAY, September 23, 2017. Registration from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Cleanup from 9:00 - 12:00. Check out the Facebook page: Keeping DeGray Lake Beautiful.
WHERE: Volunteers may pick up trash bags & receive area assignments at the LOWER LAKE AREA. FREE LUNCH & PRIZES for volunteers from 12:00 noon until about 2:00 p.m. at the LOWER LAKE AREA. Food & prizes are donated by local merchants. Litter “Gitter” Awards presented to ten individuals by random drawing.
Recycling: aluminum cans, ink jet cartridges and cell phones will be recycled, please bring to cleanup. Most Unusual Item Award will be presented for the most unusual item found.
ALL TRASH is to be bagged and placed at the recreation area entrances or brought to the LOWER LAKE AREA for proper disposal. Separate recyclables if possible, please. Sponsorship Opportunity for the back of the T-shirts, can also be purchased.
