Sunset-Moonlight Kayak Tour
DeGray Lake is often calmest during the night, and this makes for some pristine flatwater kayaking conditions. Join a park interpreter to enjoy the cooler, quieter side of DeGray Lake as we kayak under the last rays of the setting sun, giving way to a starry night sky and a full moon to light our way. Flatwater kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets are provided, and no previous paddling experience is necessary. Be prepared to paddle approximately 2 miles (1 ½ hours). Your guide will demonstrate the basics of kayaking and answer your nature questions along the way. Participants must be at least 10 years old to paddle a boat solo. There is limited space for smaller children over the age of 6 to ride with an adult. Reservations are required and are taken at the marina beginning noon the day before, (501) 865-5841. Go by the marina to pay before meeting the park interpreter by the boat ramp with your receipt. Wear clothes and shoes that can get wet, and bring a bottle of water! Please arrive 10-15 minutes early or your spot may be given to someone on the waiting list. Admission: $15 adults, $10 children ages 6-12
